It’s a real pity of the Premier League that the level of officiating has been so desperately poor at times this season and can only be described as park standard really.

It’s a shame we couldn’t take any points from this one as it was a promising performance and always was going to boil down to whether we could maintain our focus and concentration throughout.

It was a really good point in the end and what started as a very frustrating kind of first half performance that asked a lot of questions of the side, it ended with some really positive answers.

It was a disappointing result, so it’s easy to come away feeling deflated and forget that we were actually the better side overall, but our naivety and poor defending cost us big time.
