When doubt creeps in

For the first time in years and years, I’m considering whether it’s worth renewing my season ticket at QPR.

The club is in a real mess at the moment and is engulfed in problems and turmoil from top to bottom. The spirit and soul of the place, two things the board wanted to protect and keep when they arrived have completely evaporated.

It looks like major surgery is required and a massive shift in philosophy and policy to start rebuilding the club again. But that requires the powers that be to hold up their hands and admit to their mistakes, learn from them very quickly and put some trust and time into someone capable of running the show and sorting it out.

It’s never been about promotion for me or the Premier League. It’s about having a proper football club that you’re proud to be a part of and enjoy coming to see develop and grow. There’s very little of any of that at QPR right now and it’s a stagnant, stale and a nasty place to be.

I will consider carefully over the coming weeks on what to do, but for once, voting with my wallet and feet may be the only way to get through and it pains me to have to say that.

Please, please, please, somebody take responsibility and sort it out.
