The QPR Ladies Reserves will face Oxford City Ladies 3rds in the Final of the Plate to be held at Reading Town Football Club on Sunday 19th April.
Oxford City are in our division and currently above us sitting in 2nd place in the table. Earlier in the season they beat us 3:0 at our place and gave us a bit of a lesson on the day.
But we responded in fine fashion in the return encounter by beating them 4:3 despite being 2:0 down at one point and finishing the game for the last 25 minutes with 9 players due to injury.
There’s no doubt that this will be a very tough match for us but it’s one we are really looking forward to and as we know all about each other it should hopefully make for a cracking game.
I personally feel they are the best side we’ve come up against this season and that pleases me, because to be the best you ought to have to beat the best, so it’s fitting that we meet them in the final and it’s certainly a challenge we will embrace.
