The best and worst of QPR
Something that amuses me is the banner I made for my blog. I chose to use a photo of Dexter Blackstock and Marc Nygaard from the lap of honour at the last home game of the 2006/2007 season against Stoke City.
At the time, I felt it was an ironic choice because it represented for many the best and worst of QPR. Dexter had an amazing season and scored some vital goals in our fight for survival, whilst Nygaard was a constant target for the boo boys, no matter how he played.
Fast forward almost 12 months and how times change. Dexter hasn’t been in the best of form and has been on the receiving end of criticism from a lot of our fans, but I’ll never forget the amazing effort he put in last season and how vital he was to us hanging on to our Championship status.
I’ve not been pleased with his performances of late too and I’m sure he isn’t either, but more importantly though, he’s got a goal against Wolves to get himself going again. He’s a Daddy now too thanks to the birth of his child! So, congratulations to Mr Blackstock on a fine week all round!
